A "Screw" is Loose, but it isn't mine for a change!

This is really more of an update on my last post The Times They Are A-changin', but I wanted to give you an idea as to why we have some trouble sleeping. I've been saying I'm going to bed for the last 2 hours. No can do. Still, it's kind of funny, even though the jack-hammer dudes will be at work promptly at 9 a.m. this morning.

The Shangri-La Hotel is very good about keeping their neighbors happy. Just as I typed the previous paragraph, I realized that the noise is gone. They must've gotten the part they needed. Thank you Shangri-La Hotel! I can get some sleep now; as long as I don't go Facebooking and Scrabulizing. Those would be completely different issues.

That was really annoying, and I'm sitting her wide awake, not trying to sleep.

Wow! That was really loud! Did you ever get sleep? Normally a TV is all I need to drown out stuff like that!

PS I tagged you.

You know, with the right instruments you might have a nice song going, with that as the beat!

Can you drop water balloons on them from there?

Roy... I'm glad you think so too because for a while there, I was worried that I had the loose screw!

MM... when the WHH is off on business, I tend to stay up late, listen to loud music, Stickam, Facebook, and Scrabulize. I've always been a stay-up-late kinda gal, but the the lack-'o-hormones thing going on also causes insomnia. I took 1/2 sleeping pill and slept 4 hours. I have not been taking naps, even though I love naps! Oh, and I think it's really funny that you love PBNJ too! Oh, and thanks for the tag! Your's is too funny! I'm not sure I could even come close to the sort of humorous stuff you did. LOL!

Savy... you're right about the beat. Thank goodness they got it fixed! I wish I could THROW water balloons over there, but it's too far. I need a catapult! The "aircons" are huge. I should probably take a picture of them so that you'd have better understanding of what I'm talking about.

Whew! The noise was even beginning to bother me.

I've had friends stay at the Singapore Shangri-La. I probably will too if I ever get to travel there. Right now that's unlikely. But anyway if I ever did, I would happily deploy water balloons under your direction.

Asha... Yes, it was very disturbing and awful to hear at 2 am (we won't talk about my saxophone-playing).

Don... The Singapore Shangri-La is a lovely place, though "old" by Singaporean standards (that would be anything older than 10-12 years). Shangri-La has been doing an extensive renovation over the last year, I think because the St. Regis was scheduled to open last month. I just posted a pic of 1 of the fleet of Bentley's in front of that hotel yesterday. I'm just positive that I read somewhere that the St. Regis here is a 7-star hotel, but I can't find any reference to it now. I hope that you and your wife can stop here for a couple of days en-route to New Zealand or Australia. I would like to do that myself before we leave, but I doubt there will be time. You know the deal!
